Health and Safety Officer

ProSource is currently seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer on behalf of a leading M&E contractor, experiencing significant growth and delivering a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and monitoring of EHS policies and procedures across construction and project sites.
• Carry out regular site safety inspections and audits, identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions.
• Work closely with site management, subcontractors and project teams to promote a strong health and safety culture.
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and company standards.
• Assist with risk assessments, method statements and the review of safe systems of work.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and accidents, ensuring findings are recorded and appropriate actions are implemented.
• Deliver toolbox talks and provide guidance to employees and subcontractors on safe working practices.
• Maintain accurate EHS records, inspection reports and compliance documentation.
• Assist with environmental monitoring and ensuring appropriate site environmental controls are in place.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years' experience in an EHS role, ideally within construction, engineering or an industrial environment.
• Good knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations and site compliance requirements.
• Experience carrying out site inspections, risk assessments and safety audits.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and engage effectively with site teams and subcontractors.
