Health and Safety Manger

ProSource is currently seeking an experienced EHS Lead on behalf of a leading M&E contractor, experiencing significant growth and delivering a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular EHS inspections across active project sites, identifying potential hazards and ensuring compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
• Develop, review, and issue comprehensive Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and site-specific Safety Statements in collaboration with Site Foremen, Project Managers, and Contracts Managers.
• Review and approve subcontractor EHS documentation, including RAMS, Safety Statements, training records, and other relevant compliance documentation, prior to submission to the Main Contractor.
• Lead the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing detailed reports and ensuring effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented and followed through.
• Coordinate and deliver EHS training, toolbox talks, site inductions, and other safety awareness initiatives for employees, subcontractors, and site personnel.
• Attend site Health & Safety meetings and daily EHS briefings, providing professional advice, guidance, and support on all EHS-related matters.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a relevant Health & Safety role, ideally within the construction, engineering, or M&E sector.
• A Level 7 qualification or higher in Environmental, Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across site, project, and management teams.
• Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
