Overview: 
Seeking a Health and Safety Advisor for my client, a leading Civil Engineering and Utilities Contractor with projects in the Midlands. The successful candidate will have experience working on utilities projects and will contribute to ensuring the highest standards of health and safety across our various projects. This role is with a leading civil engineering and utilities contractor primarily based in Dublin but with projects across the country.

Responsibilities: 
  • Implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures on site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Provide health and safety training and inductions for all site personnel.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Liaise with site management, contractors, and regulatory bodies on health and safety matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities and ensure all documentation is up to date.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement on site.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in the utilities or construction sectors.
  • Relevant health and safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and health and safety software.
Package: 
  • Competitive salary of €50,000 - €55,000 per annum.
