Health and Safety Advisor required for utilities contractor based in Kildare. The Health and Safety Advisor will play a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programs within power and utilities projects. This role demands expertise in safety regulations specific to the power and utilities industry.
  
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety procedures in line with industry standards and legislative requirements, specifically tailored for power and utilities projects.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols within the power and utilities sector.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to project teams, ensuring a culture of safety and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to address safety concerns and provide recommendations to mitigate risks in power and utilities operations.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for preventive actions within the power and utilities context.
  • Keep abreast of changes in health and safety legislation related to power and utilities, updating policies and procedures accordingly.
  
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification in Health and Safety.
  • Proven experience (4+ years) in a Health and Safety Advisor role within the power and utilities sector a significant bonus but not necessary.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and practices specific to power and utilities operations.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
