Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage civils operations across a range of projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery.
- Provide direction and support to site management teams, supervisors, and subcontract partners.
- Oversee planning and coordination of civil works to ensure programmes and project milestones are achieved.
- Work closely with engineering and design teams to develop practical and buildable solutions.
- Ensure all activities are delivered in line with health & safety legislation, company procedures, and industry best practice.
- Manage commercial performance including budgeting, cost tracking, variations, procurement, and subcontractor management.
- Review technical documentation, drawings, and site information to support successful project execution.
- Drive consistency, quality standards, and continuous improvement across the civils function.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Support tendering, estimating, and pre-construction activities where required.
- Provide regular operational and commercial updates to senior leadership teams.
Requirements - Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
- Strong track record delivering civil engineering packages across commercial or infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing works including groundworks, drainage, reinforced concrete, and temporary works.
- Excellent understanding of health & safety legislation and site compliance requirements.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, subcontractors, and project costs.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering information.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage teams and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Good IT proficiency and familiarity with project delivery and reporting systems.
- Full driving licence and flexibility to travel nationwide as required.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced project environments while maintaining high standards.
