Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Company Intro / Summary
An established construction contractor is looking to add a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to its commercial team in North Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to begin their career within the construction industry, gaining hands-on experience and developing their commercial skills alongside an experienced team.

The company is open to candidates who have graduated within the last two years. Previous Quantity Surveying experience would be highly advantageous, but it is not essential for the right candidate with a strong academic background and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the commercial management of construction projects
• Supporting the preparation of valuations, cost reports and financial forecasts
• Assisting with procurement and subcontractor management
• Monitoring project costs and variations
• Supporting the preparation of final accounts
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation
• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors to develop commercial and contractual knowledge

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics
• Graduated within the last two years
• Previous Quantity Surveying experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiastic, motivated and eager to develop a career in Quantity Surveying
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Package

• Salary: €35,000 – €38,000 DOE
• North Dublin based
