General Foreman

ProSource are recruiting a General Foreman on behalf of their client who are a leading Main Contractor. This role is based in Wicklow on a Primary Care Facility project. 

Job Summary:

As the General Foreman you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Supervision: Supervise carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications and quality standards.
• Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure compliance with building codes, project plans, and quality standards.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure all workers adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
• Communication: Maintain open communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and subcontractors, to ensure project goals are met.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve construction-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Training and Development: Train and mentor junior carpenters and construction workers to improve skills and productivity.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience 
• Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
