Financial Controller - Wexford

Our client is a well-established and growing business in the supply chain sector, now looking for an experienced Financial Controller to take the lead of the finance function.

This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Managing Director, where you’ll play a key part in guiding the company’s financial direction, maintaining strong controls, and supporting key business decisions.


Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the finance function, managing reporting, budgeting, and forecasting across the Group.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and track key performance indicators.
• Work closely with operations and management to help improve performance and efficiency.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, and cost control.
• Manage tax, audit, and compliance requirements.
• Support, develop, and mentor members of the finance team.
• Review and improve financial systems, processes, and controls.
• Play an active role in planning and supporting future business growth.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent).
• At least 5 years’ post-qualified experience in industry.
• Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or a similar sector would be an advantage.
• Proven track record of leading a finance team and working cross-functionally.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset with good attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Practical, hands-on approach and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
