Financial Controller - North Dublin

ProSource Finance are delighted to be working with a well-established organisation seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function and play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working closely with senior management, improving processes and ensuring the business has accurate, timely financial information to support decision-making.

The Role Reporting to senior management, the Financial Controller will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the finance function, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow and financial controls.

The successful candidate will work closely with the wider business, providing commercial insight and ensuring the finance function continues to operate efficiently as the organisation grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and performance analysis.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Monitor financial performance, identify variances and provide commercial insight to senior management.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and general ledger activities.
• Ensure appropriate financial controls and processes are in place.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks and other professional advisers.
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements and statutory reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiencies.
• Provide financial guidance and support to the wider management team.
• Lead, support and develop members of the finance team, where applicable.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and commercial projects as required.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior accounting role.
• Excellent understanding of financial reporting, management accounts and financial controls.
• Commercially focused with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insight.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with accounting systems.
• Experience managing or mentoring a finance team would be an advantage.
