Senior Financial Accountant - Wexford

Our client is a well-established and growing business in the supply chain sector, now seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting to the Management Team, this role offers a great opportunity to gain broad exposure across all areas of finance and contribute to a company that continues to expand.

This is an ideal position for a recently qualified or part-qualified accountant who’s looking to take the next step in their career within an industry setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the Financial Control function in managing day-to-day finance operations.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting.
• Preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure strong internal controls.
• Lead the year-end audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Prepare VAT, payroll, and other statutory returns.
• Work closely with operational teams to provide financial insight and support business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems and processes.

Requirements

• Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with good attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting systems.
• Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or a similar fast-paced environment is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
