Company Intro / Summary
A growing civil engineering and construction contractor is seeking an Estimator to join its pre-construction team based in Galway City. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential and civil engineering projects, the company continues to expand and has an excellent pipeline of secured work across the West of Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with 2–5 years' experience looking to develop their career within a supportive and ambitious business. The successful candidate will gain exposure to both residential and civil engineering projects while benefiting from a clear progression pathway as the company continues to grow.

Responsibilities
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for residential and civil engineering projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to prepare competitive pricing.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and potential commercial risks.
• Work closely with commercial and operational teams throughout the tender process.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and cost plans.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Support the successful delivery of multiple tenders across a variety of project sectors.

Requirements
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years' experience in an Estimating or Quantity Surveying role.
• Previous experience within residential and/or civil engineering projects is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to strict deadlines.
• Ambitious individual seeking long-term career progression.

Package
• Salary: €50,000 – €65,000 DOE.
• Full-time, permanent position based in Galway City.
