Engineering Manager

The successful candidate will lead a team across maintenance, tooling and engineering functions and play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, capital project delivery, continuous improvement and site reliability.

This role would suit an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with a strong manufacturing background who enjoys being close to the production floor, developing teams and driving operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering function across a high-volume manufacturing facility.
• Oversee maintenance, tooling, facilities and engineering operations.
• Support day-to-day production performance and minimise downtime across the plant.
• Manage site utilities and facilities including HVAC, air, water and electrical systems.
• Lead capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects including budgeting, planning and implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production functions.
• Support process optimisation and operational efficiency improvements.
• Develop maintenance strategies and asset management systems.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, HR and senior leadership teams.
• Lead, mentor and develop engineering and maintenance personnel.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
• Participate in global engineering projects and cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements Essential

• Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline.
• Strong experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Previous experience leading engineering, maintenance or technical teams.
• Experience working within high-volume production facilities.
• Strong understanding of maintenance, engineering operations and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
