The successful candidate will lead a team across maintenance, tooling and engineering functions and play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, capital project delivery, continuous improvement and site reliability.
This role would suit an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with a strong manufacturing background who enjoys being close to the production floor, developing teams and driving operational performance.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage the engineering function across a high-volume manufacturing facility.
- Oversee maintenance, tooling, facilities and engineering operations.
- Support day-to-day production performance and minimise downtime across the plant.
- Manage site utilities and facilities including HVAC, air, water and electrical systems.
- Lead capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects including budgeting, planning and implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production functions.
- Support process optimisation and operational efficiency improvements.
- Develop maintenance strategies and asset management systems.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, HR and senior leadership teams.
- Lead, mentor and develop engineering and maintenance personnel.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
- Participate in global engineering projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements Essential - Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline.
- Strong experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Previous experience leading engineering, maintenance or technical teams.
- Experience working within high-volume production facilities.
- Strong understanding of maintenance, engineering operations and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
