Energy/Sustainability Engineer (MEP Consultancy) - Limerick City

ProSource Group are seeking a Energy/Sustainability Engineer on behalf of one of Ireland's leading M&E design consultancies to be based in their Limerick City office. 

About the Role

An opportunity for an Energy / Sustainability Engineer to join an expanding energy team supporting a large volume of compliance and modelling work across public sector and commercial projects.
You will work closely with experienced energy engineers and the wider MEP team to deliver modelling, analysis and certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct concept and scheme design studies, preparing comprehensive sustainability reports.
• IES VE modelling and building performance simulations.
• Daylight and thermal analysis.
• Domestic & Non-Domestic BER assessments.
• Part L compliance calculations and reports.
• Energy strategies and sustainability statements.
• Liaison with design teams and clients.
• Deliver high-quality sustainability projects within specified timelines.

About You

• Education: Degree in Building Services, Energy/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 1 years' experience as a sustainability or energy consultant/modeller within a consultancy environment.
• Technical Skills:
  
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable design principles and building services design.
  • Proficiency in IESVE programs (VE SBEM, Apache Sim, Radiance, MacroFlo, CIBSE Loads are preferable).
  • Familiarity with Autodesk products such as AutoCAD & Revit (preferred).
  • BER Assessor (Domestic & Non-Domestic) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Part L and Irish regulations.
• Soft Skills:
  
  • Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Excellent report writing and project management abilities.
