Our client is seeking a motivated Energy Surveyor to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to build your career in the renewable energy and retrofit sector, carrying out technical energy assessments and supporting large-scale home-energy upgrade projects across Ireland.
Role Overview As an Energy Surveyor / Energy Assessor, you’ll play a key part in improving the energy performance of residential buildings. The role involves conducting detailed energy surveys, site inspections, and audits of domestic properties to ensure compliance with SEAI and building-regulation standards.
You’ll work closely with design and delivery teams to evaluate existing buildings, identify efficiency improvements, and help deliver high-quality, sustainable energy-upgrade works.
Key Responsibilities - Carry out on-site energy surveys, audits, and assessments of residential buildings.
- Gather and analyse data to support energy efficiency calculations and feasibility studies.
- Inspect existing buildings for defects and advise on remedial works.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and recommendations for upgrade works.
- Conduct quality checks and performance reviews on completed energy retrofit projects.
- Advise on energy-saving measures, environmental impact, and compliance with SEAI standards.
- Liaise with homeowners, contractors, and internal project managers to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Support project teams in all technical activities during the design and works stages.
Requirements - Proven experience as a Building Surveyor, Energy Assessor, or in a similar technical role.
- Strong understanding of building regulations and SEAI guidelines.
- Ability to perform precise measurements and deliver accurate technical reports.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and relevant energy-surveying or reporting software.
- Full, clean driver’s licence.
Desirable - Recognised BER Assessor qualification (or currently undertaking training).
- Experience in domestic retrofit, energy auditing, or sustainable construction projects.
