Our client is a long-established electrical and energy services company with a strong track record of delivering innovative solutions for major commercial and industrial clients. They now have an opening for an Energy Engineer to join their team and support the delivery of energy efficiency and renewable projects.
Although the headcount is small, the impact is big. Reporting directly to a technically strong MD, you’ll have a fantastic opportunity for hands-on learning and career development. The company is headquartered in Kerry but works with clients nationwide, so you can be based anywhere and travel to sites as required.
The Role You’ll play a key part in helping large energy users improve performance, reduce costs and move towards a more sustainable future. Expect variety — from carrying out site audits and analysing data, to managing upgrades, compliance, and project delivery.
Key responsibilities include: - Conducting site visits nationwide to assess building infrastructure (distribution boards, refrigeration, air conditioning, pumps, heating systems).
- Supporting energy audits and identifying opportunities for efficiency upgrades.
- Overseeing project delivery alongside mechanical and electrical teams, including commissioning and handover documentation.
- Managing compliance paperwork, drawings, and SEAI grant applications.
- Working directly with clients to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard.
About You - Degree or background in engineering (electrical, mechanical, energy, or related).
- Strong technical interest, with a desire to get on site and deliver quality solutions.
- Some exposure to energy projects, audits, or building systems.
- Comfortable engaging with clients and quickly understanding infrastructure and equipment.
- Strong organisational skills with an interest in both technical and project management aspects.
