Company Intro / Summary
A well-established electrical contractor is seeking an Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team, with the position based in either Limerick or Cork. The company delivers a broad range of electrical projects across Ireland, providing an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused QS to gain exposure to a variety of sectors.
The successful candidate will work across residential, industrial, data centre, and other large-scale projects, making this an excellent opportunity for an Electrical QS looking to broaden their experience while joining a growing business with strong long-term prospects.
Responsibilities
• Manage the commercial aspects of electrical projects from procurement through to final account.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, valuations, cost reports, and financial forecasts.
• Procure and manage subcontractor and supplier packages.
• Monitor project costs and maintain accurate commercial reporting.
• Prepare and assess variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure strong commercial performance.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Requirements
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
• Experience working as an Electrical Quantity Surveyor.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of electrical construction projects.
• Experience across residential, industrial, data centre, or similar projects would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of procurement, cost control, valuations, and final accounts.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a project and commercial team.
Package
• Salary: €60,000 – €70,000 DOE.
• Full-time, permanent position based in Limerick or Cork.
• Exposure to residential, industrial, data centre, and other major electrical projects.
