Company Intro / Summary A well-established and growing Mechanical & Electrical Contractor based in Dublin is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their pre-construction team. The company delivers high-quality building services solutions across a wide range of sectors including commercial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and data centre projects. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for technical excellence, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in major tender submissions and the continued success of the business.
Responsibilities - Prepare accurate and detailed electrical estimates for medium to large-scale projects.
- Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to understand project scope.
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations.
- Liaise with internal departments, including engineering and project delivery teams, to ensure alignment on project requirements.
- Develop and manage cost databases, rate build-ups, and value engineering exercises.
- Support bid preparation, client presentations, and handovers to the project team post-award.
- Maintain strong market awareness of industry trends and material costs.
Requirements - 5 years’ experience in an electrical estimating role, ideally within the building services or contracting sector.
- Trade background or degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation methodologies, and Irish construction standards.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Package - €55,000 - €65,000 DOE
