Electrical Design engineer

ProSource are recruiting a Design Engineer on behalf of a well-established design consultancy based in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing design team delivering electrical building solutions for data centres. You will work alongside experienced engineers, and project teams to develop designs that comply with Irish standards while supporting projects from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across a range of multidisciplinary projects.
• Prepare detailed electrical design drawings, schematics, layouts, calculations, and technical specifications.
• Support Senior and Principal Engineers throughout all project stages, from feasibility and concept design through to construction.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards and design processes.
• Carry out design calculations using industry-standard software and ensure all documentation is technically accurate.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
• 2–4 years' experience within an MEP or Building Services consultancy environment.
• Proficient in design software such as Amtech/Trimble ProDesign, Dialux or Relux, and AutoCAD. Revit experience would be advantageous.
