The Senior Document Controller will be responsible for ensuring that all project documentation is organised, recorded, and managed in an efficient and accurate manner. This individual work closely with the project team to maintain document control standards and ensure that all documentation is in compliance with project and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the document control process for the entire project, ensuring that all documentation is organized, recorded, and managed in accordance with project and company policies.
- Manage a team of document controllers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed to ensure the team is operating efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and maintain document control procedures, ensuring that they are up to date and reflect current best practices.
- Work closely with the project team, providing guidance and support on document control-related matters, and ensure that all project documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Ensure that all documentation is properly reviewed, approved, and distributed to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Manage the project document control system, including the document management software, and ensure that it is operating effectively and efficiently.
- Provide regular reports on document control status to project management and other stakeholders, as required.
- Ensure that all project documentation is stored securely and is easily retrievable.
- Collaborate with other departments, including quality control, engineering, and procurement, to ensure that all project documentation is accurate and up to date.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in document control, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proven leadership and management experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with document management software.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
