Design Engineer - Dublin

This role will suit a Design Engineer with at least 2 years design coordination experience and a good understanding of water and wastewater projects. You'll work closely with site and project teams to produce, coordinate and manage design information so works can be delivered efficiently and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and develop civil designs and drawings for water and wastewater projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Coordinate design information between internal teams, consultants, clients and subcontractors.
• Manage the design programme so drawings and information are issued on time to support construction.
• Review consultant designs, specifications and drawings, and raise RFIs or queries where needed.
• Produce temporary works, setting out and construction drawings as required.
• Help resolve design and technical issues raised on site.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions and design documentation.
• Prepare as-built drawings and records at project close-out.
• Make sure designs comply with project specifications, Uisce Éireann standards and relevant regulations.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and engineering team to support delivery on programme.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (Level 7/8).
• At least 2 years' experience in a design or design coordination role.
• Familiarity with water and wastewater infrastructure (pipelines, pumping stations, treatment works).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (essential).
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and design standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
• Full Irish driving licence.
