Our client is a well established City Centre practice and they are seeking a Compliance & Audit Senior/Manager to join the team.  You will be reporting to the Practice Manager/Partner.
  
You will be working closely with an experienced Audit/Accounting team and will have responsibilities for the Preparation of Audit and Non-Audit Limited Company Accounts.  You will have extensive experience on Audit & Taxation and maintain compliance and keep up to date with legislation including implement new procedures and routines across the audit function within the firm.
  
Your Responsibilities:
  • Takes ownership of the Compliance function within the firm (ISQM, Fit & Proper, etc, etc)
  • Overall management of the firm’s Audit function
  • Manage and guide the Audit team
  • Manage larger audit files and complete these files, utilizing audit team to assist.
  • Review all audit files, ensuring compliance and highest standards achieved in terms of all audit files
  • Ensure accurate, timely, secured, and compliant audit assignments
  • Oversee streamlining of audit processes to ensure best practice 
  • Act as primary point of contact for all audit queries
  • Management of the Audit client listing and planning for timely completion (in conjunction with the Practice Manager)
  • Oversee and mentor audit team – 3 Qualified, 2 semi seniors, trainees
  • Work with clients to provide timely and accurate year end audit reporting 
  • Completion of non-audit limited company accounts to final review stage.
  • Meet with clients to discuss accounts/arrange sign-off
  • Significant scope to grow into the role and develop with the role

The Person 

  • 5 years plus experience in dealing with audit in a busy office environment.
  • Management experience desirable. Must be able to lead and mentor a team.
  • Ability and comfort in working in a growing team environment
  • Self-starter who can bring previous experience to the team and implement significant improvements to the area
  • Experience in Omnipro Audit work schedules desirable
  • Experience and knowledge of Accountancy and audit standards
  • Strong oral and written skills and the ability to communicate with clients 
  • Proficiency in Excel and AI.
