About the Company: I’m working with a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy that delivers high-quality services across Data Centres, large-scale Commercial developments, and Residential projects. They’re involved in some of the most complex and high-value schemes in the UK and Europe, and are looking to strengthen their site-based team with an experienced
Site Inspector / Clerk of Works.
The Role: This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in construction and a passion for quality assurance. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that work on-site meets the required standards, specifications, and safety regulations. Projects range from large-scale residential blocks and office towers to high-security data centres.
Key Responsibilities: - Regular inspections of ongoing site works across multiple live projects
- Verifying compliance with construction drawings, specifications, and building regs
- Reporting on quality, safety, and progress via detailed site reports and photographs
- Identifying and flagging defects or deviations, and ensuring remedial action is taken
- Liaising with contractors, consultants, and internal teams
- Ensuring that materials and workmanship meet client and regulatory standards
- Supporting handover and snagging processes
- Maintaining a daily log of activities and observations
- Monitoring Health & Safety adherence on-site
- Attending site and project meetings as required
Requirements: - Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Clerk of Works, Site Inspector, or Quality Assurance role
- Solid understanding of UK/Irish construction standards and regs
- Experience across Data Centres, commercial or high-rise resi projects is ideal
- Strong reporting and communication skills
- CSCS or equivalent safety certification required
- Relevant construction or engineering qualification (e.g. HNC, CIOB, ICWCI)
- Self-sufficient and proactive with a high attention to detail
- Comfortable working across multiple sites, if required
Desirable: - ICWCI membership or working towards
- Experience with MEP and fit-out stages
- Familiarity with digital QA tools and reporting software
- Experience in European or hyperscale data centre projects
