Civil / Structural Technician - Dublin City

Salary: €45,000 - €55,000

ProSource are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading Irish multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, for a Civil Structural Technician to join their Dublin office. With over 30 years of industry experience and more than 2,500 projects successfully delivered, the company works with some of Ireland's leading pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, industrial and commercial clients. 

Role

• Produce and maintain accurate Civil and Structural CAD drawings and BIM models across all project stages, from concept design through to as-built.
• Develop 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for civil and structural engineering projects.
• Model and detail foundations, steelwork, reinforced concrete, drainage, roads, pavements, earthworks and external works.
• Coordinate Civil and Structural models with Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Process Engineering teams.
• Support engineers with technical detailing, schedules, quantities and model-based take-offs.
• Maintain drawing registers, Common Data Environment (CDE) information and project documentation in accordance with ISO 19650 standards.
• Assist during tender and construction stages by responding to technical queries, updating models and preparing as-built information.
• Contribute to the development of BIM standards, templates and digital engineering workflows.

Requirements

• Level 6–8 qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Technology, BIM or equivalent
• Previous experience working as a Technician within an engineering consultancy or similar environment.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Good understanding of BIM workflows, ISO 19650 principles and Common Data Environments (CDE).
• Strong knowledge of construction detailing and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
