Civil / Structural Design Engineer - Waterford

ProSource are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading nationwide indigenous engineering consultancy, are looking for civil and/or structural design engineers to join their team in their growing Waterford office.

The successful candidates will have hands-on exposure to sustainable infrastructure, commercial, residential, industrial, and health projects across Ireland and beyond.

Role

• Deliver detailed civil and structural designs for sustainable infrastructure, commercial, residential, industrial, and health projects.
• Apply engineering principles to develop practical and innovative design solutions.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Use industry-standard software such as Civil 3D, Causeway Flow, Masterseries, PV Syst, and SCIA.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, with mentorship and support toward chartership.

Requirements

• Bachelors in Civil or Structural Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent).
• 2–5 years of relevant design experience within a design consultancy environment.
• Experience working on infrastructure, building, or renewable energy projects.
• Proficiency in design and analysis software such as Civil 3D, Causeway Flow, Masterseries, PV Syst, or SCIA (experience in one or more preferred).
• A strong understanding of engineering principles, design codes, and construction practices.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
• Working toward or interest in pursuing Chartered Engineer status.
