Site Engineer - Civil Engineering

The position is focused on site-based construction engineering and project delivery rather than design. You’ll be involved directly with live works, coordinating engineering activities and ensuring projects are delivered accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out engineering duties across treatment plants, pumping stations and associated civil works.
• Undertake setting out, surveying and technical checks as required.
• Coordinate reinforced concrete, drainage, pipework, utilities, earthworks and associated infrastructure.
• Review drawings and specifications and raise RFIs where required.
• Work closely with Site and Project Managers to plan upcoming works.
• Coordinate subcontractors and assist with technical issues arising during construction.
• Complete inspections, quality records, as-builts and engineering documentation.
• Monitor works against drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
• Support testing, commissioning and project handover where required.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years’ construction engineering experience.
• Strong site-based engineering background.
• Water/wastewater, utilities or heavy civils experience preferred.
• Setting out and surveying experience.
• Good understanding of civil construction drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with wider project teams.
• Full Irish driving licence and willingness to travel across Munster.
