Salary: €45,000 - €50,000 DOEProSource are seeking a Civil Engineer on behalf of a leading international design consultancy for a position in their Dublin city office.
Responsibilities - Assist in the design and preparation of civil engineering works, including roads, drainage, utilities, site layouts, and earthworks.
- Produce engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports in compliance with Irish codes, standards and regulations.
- Support senior engineers in feasibility studies, site investigations, and technical assessments.
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, and budget estimation.
- Carry out site inspections and monitoring to ensure construction is in accordance with design, quality and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, local authorities and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of design changes, risk assessments, and project documentation.
- Assist in tender preparation and procurement processes where required.
- Keep up to date with new technologies, materials, sustainability standards, and best practices in civil engineering.
Key Requirements - Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in civil engineering design or project delivery, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Strong knowledge of Irish standard design codes, building regulations, planning requirements and local authority guidelines.
- Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
- Good understanding of drainage / sewerage / utilities design.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be organised, capable of managing multiple workstreams and meeting deadlines.
