Civil Design Engineer - Dublin

ProSource are recruiting for a Civil Design Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading Irish design consultancy, for a role in their Dublin office.

Responsibilities

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting project delivery in collaboration with Project Managers and senior engineers
• Liaising with clients under the direction of Project Managers to achieve successful project outcomes
• Preparing and reviewing preliminary design reports, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications
• Reviewing design work prepared by Graduate Engineers and providing technical guidance
• Producing designs using AutoCAD 2D and Civil 3D, with opportunities to develop skills in AutoCAD 3D and BIM platforms such as Revit
• Assisting with the procurement and administration of Site Investigation, Building, and Civil Engineering contracts
• Contributing to tender documentation, tender assessments, and cost evaluations
• Supporting contract administration to ensure works align with design intent, programme, and budget
• Working closely with line management and project teams to deliver high-quality engineering outputs

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
• Typically 3–6 years’ relevant post-graduate experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and experience working with Civil 3D
• An interest in developing skills in BIM (Autodesk Revit), AutoCAD 3D, and other engineering software
• Working knowledge of Public Works Contract forms (PW-CF) and construction contract administration
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project and other planning or design tools
• A strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
