Civil Design Engineer - Cork

ProSource are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading Irish engineering consultancy, for a Civil Engineer to join their expanding team in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer with 3–6 years' experience to work on some of Ireland's most high-profile infrastructure developments including:

Role

• Deliver civil engineering designs across major infrastructure projects from feasibility through to construction.
• Design drainage, roads, watermains, earthworks and associated civil infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering reports, drawings and technical specifications.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and key project stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Undertake site visits and inspections to monitor progress, resolve technical queries and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers while developing your own technical and leadership skills.

Requirements

• Honours Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3–6 years' experience in engineering design.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of drainage, roads, watermains and earthworks design.
• Good knowledge of Irish design standards including GDSDS, IW Code of Practice, DMURS, Cycle Design Manual, DMRB and TII Publications.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Full driver's licence desirable.
