Civil Design Engineer - Belfast

ProSource Group are recruiting on behalf of our client, an established engineering design consultancy, for a Civil Design Engineer to join its Belfast team.

The role offers a mix of commercial, education and residential projects across the UK and Ireland. You’ll develop civil designs from initial brief and planning through to detailed design, construction and handover, with direct involvement in client meetings and multidisciplinary coordination.
  
Role

• Design foul and surface water drainage systems, including SuDS solutions.
• Prepare road and highway designs, access arrangements, site layouts and levels strategies.
• Develop earthworks, grading and external works designs.
• Produce drawings, calculations and reports for planning, tender and construction.
• Liaise with clients, developers, architects and other design team members.
• Coordinate civil designs with structural, MEP and planning teams.
• Take increasing responsibility for managing projects through delivery.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 3+ years designing civil projects, including roads and drainage.
• Design experience in the UK or Irish construction market.
• Experience with relevant software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Site 3D, Causeway Flow or MicroDrainage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working towards chartership with relevant Irish / UK professional body.
