Audit Senior / Semi Senior - Galway

My Client is currently recruiting for an Audit Senior to join a well-established and progressive medium-sized accountancy firm.

This is a key hire within the Audit Department and the right candidate will become an integral part of the team and the wider firm, with a clear path to growth and development.

Unlike larger firms, this role offers genuine variety, direct client engagement, and broad exposure across multiple service lines.

While audit will represent approximately the majority of your role, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of additional areas including:
Accounts preparation for a broad range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and executing audits from planning through to completion across a diverse client portfolio.
• Preparing high-quality audit files and financial statements in accordance with relevant standards.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
• Tax compliance across various tax heads: Corporation Tax, VAT, Income Tax.
• Company secretarial filings and structural advice.
• Exposure to Corporate Finance engagements including bank refinancing and loan applications.
• Supervision, support, and mentoring of junior team members.
• A wide variety of advisory projects.

What We're Looking For:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA (or finalist with strong experience).
• 3+ years’ experience in a practice environment with a strong focus on audit.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, solutions-driven approach and willingness to contribute across the firm.
• Desire to grow with the firm and play a role in its ongoing development.
