Audit Senior - Kildare

I am working with a Large Accountancy Group, with offices across Ireland.  In Kildare they are seeking an Audit Senior to join the team.  

My client has outlined that their ideal candidate will come from a small/medium practice background, with at least 3 years of Audit experience under their belt. You maybe qualified or part qualified. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

1. Lead planning for client audits, including understanding the business and assessing risks.
2. Identify key areas of concern or high-risk transactions and develop audit strategies.
3. Perform detailed testing of financial statements, balances, and disclosures.
4. Review clients’ internal controls and recommend improvements.
5. Supervise junior staff, assign tasks, provide guidance, and review their work.
6. Serve as the main point of contact for day-to-day client audit queries.
7. Communicate findings, issues, and recommendations clearly to clients.
8. Prepare audit schedules, working papers, and supporting documentation.
9. Ensure audits comply with relevant accounting standards and local regulations.
10. Assist in drafting audit reports, management letters, and financial statements, and support partners on special projects or consulting assignments.
11. Other adhoc duties as required.

  
Skills & Experience required:

• At least 3 years local (Irish) practice experience in a small or medium Accountancy Practice.
• Qualified or part qualified with ACA, ACCA or CPA.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time/work management skills.
• Good practical experience in auditing and accounts preparation.
• Proven organisational skills and ability to work to strict deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Determination to succeed.
