Audit Senior - Galway

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established medium-sized accountancy practice based in Galway City, who are seeking an Audit Senior to join its growing team.

The Role

This is a key position within the Audit department, ideal for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with 1–2 years’ PQE with Big 4 or Top 10 audit experience. While 60–70% of your time will be focused on Audit, you will also gain hands-on experience across:

• Accounts preparation
• Tax compliance (Corporation Tax, VAT, Income Tax)
• Company secretarial filings and structures
• Due diligence on M&A transactions
• Corporate finance assignments (bank refinancing, loan applications, etc.)
• A wide range of advisory projects across multiple industries

Key Responsibilities

• Lead audits for a variety of clients across sectors
• Prepare audit-exempt financial statements
• Planning, resourcing and structuring assignments.
• Preparing audit work papers and financial statements for review by the audit manager, director or partner.
• Work closely with partners on advisory and corporate finance projects
• Liaise directly with clients, building long-term relationships

Ideal Candidate

• ACA/ACCA qualified with 1–2 years’ PQE in Audit
• Background in a Big 4 or Top 10 practice
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work to deadlines
