Audit Senior - Cork

My client is an established Accountancy practice based in Cork. They are looking for an Audit Senior to join the team. 

The Role

• Lead in the planning, managing, and executing of Audit engagements in an efficient, effective, and timely manner.
• Preparation of Financial Statements for Audit, Ltd Companies, Sole Traders & Partnerships.
• Supervise and train junior members of the team to ensure standards are maintained.
• Assume responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of clients
• Researching and resolving technical queries from clients.
• Manage work in progress and billings as part of working capital management.
• Identifying client needs and new business opportunities within client organisations.
• Develop and grow the firm’s client portfolio.
• Partake in client fee negotiation.
• Maintain a high quality of work and consistently adhere to relevant professional standards.

What you should bring:

• ACA / ACCA qualified.
• Strong technical skills (FRS102 / IFRS).
• Strong audit experience (2 years PQE).
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage junior staff under tight deadlines whilst maintain standards.
• Portfolio management experience.
• Attention to detail and analytical assessment.
• Experience working as part of a team supporting others.
• Enthusiasm to drive change or improve the operating environment including embracing new technology when appropriate.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
