Audit Practicing Cert / Audit Compliance Principle

We are seeking an experienced Audit Compliance Principal with a current Audit Practising Certificate (APC) to join a dynamic practice. This role combines hands-on audit work with oversight of practice compliance, ensuring all audits are delivered in line with professional and regulatory standards.

You will be a key figure in maintaining the quality and integrity of audit engagements, while also mentoring staff and contributing to practice governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage statutory audits for a portfolio of clients, including SMEs and larger corporates
• Ensure audits are conducted in compliance with IFRS, Irish GAAP, ISA, and practice regulations
• Lead the audit compliance function, ensuring the practice meets all professional body requirements
• Prepare, review, and sign off on financial statements and audit reports
• Mentor and develop audit staff, promoting best practices and technical excellence
• Advise on risk, regulatory matters, and internal practice controls
• Contribute to practice development and quality assurance initiatives

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA) with a current Audit Practising Certificate (APC)
• Significant experience in audit leadership and audit compliance oversight
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, auditing standards, and professional regulations
• Proven ability to manage audit teams and deliver high-quality work efficiently
• Excellent communication, client relationship, and mentoring skills
