Audit Director - Dublin

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Audit Director to join a growing and dynamic practice. This is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to shape the audit function, manage key client relationships, and contribute to the strategic direction of the firm.

The Role
As Audit Director, you will lead a portfolio of audit clients, oversee delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services, and support the development of the wider audit team. You will work closely with Partners and senior leadership to drive growth and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors
• Oversee audit planning, execution, and completion in line with relevant standards
• Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, building strong, long-term relationships
• Review and sign off on audit engagements, ensuring quality and compliance
• Mentor and develop Managers and senior team members
• Identify business development opportunities and contribute to firm growth
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and professional standards
• Collaborate with Partners on strategic initiatives and operational improvements

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
• Significant experience in audit within a practice environment in Ireland for at least 5 years.
• Does not require visa sponsorship/ hold a Stamp 4 visa.
• Proven experience managing a large client portfolio
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development

Desirable

• Experience working with SME and/or large corporate clients
• Exposure to international clients or group audits
• Previous experience at Senior Manager or Director level
