My client, a leading, forward-thinking accountancy and advisory practice in the Northeast, is seeking an Associate/Director to lead their Audit & Accounts team. This is a senior leadership role offering direct involvement in strategy, client management, and team development, with a clear pathway to Directorship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & People Development: Mentor and manage the Audit & Accounts team, conduct performance reviews, and support professional growth.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build strong, lasting client relationships, identify needs, and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Audit & Compliance Oversight: Oversee audits, financial statements, and tax compliance, ensuring adherence to professional standards.
  • Business Growth & Strategy: Support business development, monitor work in progress, and drive strong commercial outcomes.
  • Innovation: Champion digital tools and processes to enhance efficiency and client experience.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with significant post-qualified experience
  • Experienced in managing complex audits and leading teams
  • Strong technical knowledge of Irish/UK accounting and auditing standards
  • Commercially astute with a strategic mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Tech-savvy, organised, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Natural leader with a passion for developing others
