ProSource are delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded Top 20 accountancy practice in the North Dublin to recruit an Associate Director (Audit & Accounts).

This is a key leadership appointment for an ambitious, commercially focused audit professional who is ready to step into a senior role.

The successful candidate will work closely with the existing Board, lead a well-established Audit & Accounts team, and manage a diverse and high-quality client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & People Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Audit & Accounts team
  • Conduct performance reviews and support structured development plans
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards, ethics, and internal policies
2. Client Relationship Management
  • Act as senior point of contact for a varied client portfolio
  • Build and maintain long-term, trusted client relationships
  • Identify client needs and deliver commercial, value-added solutions
  • Cross-sell tax and advisory services where appropriate
3. Audit & Compliance Oversight
  • Oversee and review statutory audits and financial statements
  • Review corporation tax returns and ensure regulatory deadlines are met
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards (FRS 102, IFRS, ISAs, UK/Irish GAAP)
  • Maintain high technical standards and CPD compliance
4. Strategy, Growth & Commercial Management
  • Collaborate with Directors on departmental and firm-wide strategy
  • Support business development, proposals, and new client onboarding
  • Monitor WIP, fee recovery, and resource allocation
  • Contribute to ad hoc advisory and consultancy projects
5. Innovation & Process Improvement
  • Champion digital tools and cloud-based solutions
  • Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support firm-wide innovation and service enhancement projects

Qualifications/ Experiences:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
  • Significant post-qualified experience in audit and accounts
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing complex audits
  • Strong technical knowledge of Irish and UK accounting standards
  • Commercially astute with a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with modern accounting platforms
  • Organised, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • A natural leader with a passion for developing people
