ProSource Group is seeking an
Associate Mechanical Engineer on behalf of a leading multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm
to join its Dublin office. This role presents a unique opportunity for a commercially aware, technically skilled engineer to take on a leadership role within a busy and dynamic team.
With a diverse portfolio that includes
data centres, residential, commercial, education, and large-scale infrastructure, this position will allow you to lead on high-profile mechanical design projects while supporting business growth, mentoring staff, and contributing to long-term strategic delivery.
Role Overview As an Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will:
- Lead the mechanical design and delivery of projects across a wide variety of sectors and sizes
- Manage mechanical design work in compliance with client requirements and industry standards
- Take a client-facing leadership role, attending key meetings and building strong relationships
- Oversee the coordination and performance of internal resources and external design teams
- Provide technical guidance and mentor junior and mid-level engineers
- Contribute to business development efforts and actively pursue new opportunities
- Monitor project programme, quality, and commercial performance
- Drive innovation and uphold best practice in design and project execution
Candidate Requirements - Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in mechanical building services design (Ireland/UK)
- Proven track record in leading multidisciplinary design teams and delivering large-scale projects
- Excellent technical and commercial awareness
- Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skills
- Chartered Engineer status preferred (or actively working towards chartership)
- Ability to represent the business with clients and stakeholders at a senior level
