Overview
An architecture practice in Dublin is seeking an Architectural Technologist with strong technical capability and a genuine interest in remediation and fire-related design for high-rise buildings. The role supports major London-based projects involving façade upgrades, life-safety compliance, and complex retrofit work.
Key Responsibilities - Produce detailed technical drawings and coordinated construction information for remediation and fire-safety packages.
- Assess existing building fabric and support the development of compliant remediation strategies for high-rise façades.
- Work closely with fire engineers, façade consultants, project architects, and contractors.
- Prepare documentation for UK Building Regulations, including high-rise fire and safety requirements.
- Assist with the production of specifications, schedules, and tender information.
- Contribute to design team meetings and ensure technical solutions align with regulatory and client requirements.
- Support site review activities for London projects (occasional travel as required).
Requirements - 3+ years’ experience as an Architectural Technologist, ideally with exposure to remediation, façades, or high-rise projects.
- Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for technical detailing.
- Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations, particularly fire-safety standards for high-rise residential and commercial buildings (or willingness to upskill).
- Experience with existing-building surveys, technical audits, or defect investigation is advantageous.
- Ability to solve technical problems proactively and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills and accuracy in technical documentation.
Desirable - Experience in cladding replacement, façade remediation, or fire-safety compliance work.
- Knowledge of EWS1 processes, FRAEW reports, or façade engineering principles.
- Chartership or progression toward chartership (CIAT) is an advantage.
