Architectural Technologist (Mid-Level) Salary 55-65k Contract Type Permanent Role Overview We are seeking a capable and motivated
Architectural Technologist to join our architectural team, working on
Irish public sector projects and a range of other larger scale projects. This role is suited to a technologist with solid Revit experience who is keen to develop technical responsibility and progress within a structured, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare and develop Revit models, drawings, and technical information under the direction of senior staff
- Assist in the delivery of projects from design development through construction
- Support compliance with Department of Education (DEY) design guidelines, Technical Guidance Documents (TGDs), and room data requirements
- Assist with coordination of architectural information with engineers, specialists, and other consultants
- Contribute to ensuring compliance with Irish Building Regulations, BCAR, fire safety, accessibility, and planning requirements
- Participate in drawing reviews, quality checks, and issue coordination
- Assist with responding to RFIs, design queries, and site-related information
- Demonstrate initiative in developing technical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Support sustainable design objectives, including energy efficiency and decarbonisation measures
Essential Requirements - 3–5 years’ experience in an architectural technology or architectural practice environment
- Working knowledge of Revit (essential)
- Good understanding of technical detailing and construction documentation
- Basic knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and compliance processes
- Ability to work well as part of a team, with growing independence
- Good communication and coordination skills
Desirable / Beneficial Experience - Experience or exposure to Irish public sector projects, including DEY, OPW, local authorities, or similar of benefit, but not essential
- Familiarity with BCAR procedures and assigned certifier roles
- Interest or developing knowledge in decarbonisation, NZEB, and sustainable building design
- Experience in refurbishment or retrofit projects
Education & Professional Development - Degree (or equivalent) in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and technical upskilling
