Architectural Technologist – Galway, Sligo
A long-established design practice with a strong focus on sustainability and emerging technologies is looking to appoint Senior Architectural Technologists across several regional offices. The team delivers work in a broad mix of sectors, including residential developments, workplace design, masterplanning, healthcare, data centres, hospitality and interior projects.
Position Summary
• Prepare precise technical drawings, specifications and schedules in Revit, ensuring all outputs meet agreed standards and project deadlines.
• Develop coordinated layouts and produce tender and construction packages for medium and large-scale schemes alongside multidisciplinary teams.
• Verify that all design work is compliant, practical and ready for construction.
• Contribute to budget awareness by factoring cost considerations into technical decisions.
• Spot opportunities to enhance project efficiency and overall profitability while upholding quality.
• Work within established internal quality protocols.
• Carry out site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
Candidate Profile
• At least five years’ experience in an architectural technology role with exposure to substantial project work.
• Strong capability in detailed design and technical documentation.
• Background in collaborating with multiple disciplines.
• Advanced Revit proficiency; knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Suite advantageous.
• Experience using NBS Chorus for specification tasks.
• Solid understanding of BIM workflows and tools.
• Good grasp of current Irish Building Regulations and planning requirements.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland and a full driving licence.
