Accounts Supervisor - Practice Role

Our client is an established Accountancy Practice based in Waterford and they are seeking an Qualified Accountant as their new Accounts Supervisor/ Manager. 

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and managing the Accounting & Advisory SME team, together with the department’s partner.
  • Organising and planning the team's monthly workflow.
  • Organising, planning, execution and completion of Financial Statements, Management accounts, Corporation Tax and VAT and Other accountancy and advisory assignments.
  • Recruiting, developing, and mentoring team members.
  • Completing all engagements in accordance with the firm’s agreed procedures.
  • Capturing and reporting all information and KPI’s relevant for the purposes of the firm’s Key Performance Management.
  • Communication with clients and staff throughout the assignments in a clear manner to ensure the assignment is completed in the most efficient manner and ensuring compliance.
  • Raising of invoices and team's time sheet approval
  • Raising and/or handling of any issues during any assignment that may lead to a budget overrun.
  • Identification of additional billing opportunities within the allocated client portfolio.
  • Daily logon and use of workflow management tool to capture all live status of accounts each month.
  • Other adhoc duties as required.  

What will you bring?
  • ACA/ ACCA/ CPA Professional Qualification.
  • 4 years+ PQE with Irish Practice experience essential in people management position.
  • Knowledge of the Irish tax system.
  • Strong technical knowledge & skills of Accounting and Auditing standards (IAS, FRS 102, IFRS, Auditing Standards etc).
  • An excellent understanding of accounting software packages
  • Strong work ethic, Problem solver and an individual who strives for continuous improvement and growth.
  • Ability to take direction and work within team environment
  • Strong communication, organisational and planning skills
  • Experience training and supervising team members.
  • Pro-active, with the ability to work within budgets is key, as well as being able to prepare\assist with workflow management
  • Strong analytical and technical ability and excellent attention to detail
  • Great team working skills and an ability to show flexibility when faced with new challenges

Package:
Salary will depend on successful candidates skills and experiences.
Flexible working - 2 days WFH & 3 days in office.
