Accounts Senior - North Dublin

A large and well-established professional services firm based on the North-side of Dublin is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join its growing team. This role is ideally suited to a technically strong accounts professional who enjoys working with a varied client portfolio and taking responsibility for the preparation and review of statutory financial statements.

The successful candidate will work closely with Managers and Partners, supporting the delivery of high-quality accounting services to SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of statutory financial statements for a broad portfolio of clients under FRS 102 / FRS 105.
• Preparation of management accounts and year-end accounts from incomplete records.
• Review of junior staff work and provision of technical guidance where required.
• Ensure accounts are prepared accurately and in compliance with accounting standards and firm procedures.
• Preparation and review of corporation tax computations (desirable but not essential).
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve accounting queries and obtain missing information.
• Assist with Revenue and CRO filings.
• Support audit teams where required.
• Mentor and support trainees and junior accountants
• Manage workflow to meet deadlines across multiple client assignments
• Work closely with Managers and Partners on client delivery and planning

Qualifications:

• Qualified or part-qualified (ACA / ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong, hands-on experience in accounts preparation within an accountancy practice.
• Excellent knowledge of Irish GAAP (FRS 102/A / FRS 105).
• Experience preparing accounts from incomplete records.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Experience working in a large or mid-tier practice.
• Exposure to a broad SME client base
• Knowledge of corporation tax and basic compliance work
• Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks.
