Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable

ProSource are delighted to be working with a Construction Sector client seeking an experienced Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable assistant to join the team at their office in Maynooth, Kildare.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience who enjoys working in a busy environment and wants to take ownership of their area of the accounts function.

The Role Depending on your experience, the role will have a particular focus on either Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable, with some cross-functional exposure across the wider Finance function.

Accounts Payable responsibilities:

• Processing and coding supplier invoices
• Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery documentation
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Resolving invoice and payment queries
• Processing supplier payments
• Maintaining accurate supplier records
• Assisting with month-end close
• Supporting the Finance team with ad hoc duties

Accounts Receivable responsibilities:

• Raising and processing customer invoices
• Allocating and reconciling customer payments
• Managing debtor accounts and following up outstanding balances
• Investigating and resolving customer queries
• Preparing debtor reports
• Assisting with credit control
• Supporting month-end reconciliations and reporting

What We're Looking For We are interested in speaking with candidates who have:

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or transactional finance
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good reconciliation skills
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• The ability to work to deadlines in a busy environment
• Strong communication skills when dealing with suppliers, customers and internal teams
• Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Experience within construction, engineering or another project-based environment would be an advantage
