Our client is a local business based in Tullamore and they are seeking an accounts assistant to join the team, on a full time basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer receipt records and cash book entries.
- Reconcile and monitor aged debtors, follow up on outstanding payments, and prepare debtor reports.
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Process invoices, credit notes, and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records for audit purposes.
- Assist with data entry into accounting systems and ensure accuracy of financial information.
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding billing and payment queries.
- Register sales and ensure all related financial documentation is completed and recorded.
- Monitor petty cash and ensure proper reconciliation.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department as required.
- Ensuring a tidy office is maintained.
Candidate Skills & Experience
- Part Qualified Accountant to Accounting Technician or experienced working in a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills.
