Accounts Assistant - Tullamore

Our client is a local business based in Tullamore and they are seeking an accounts assistant to join the team, on a full time basis.  

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer receipt records and cash book entries.
  • Reconcile and monitor aged debtors, follow up on outstanding payments, and prepare debtor reports.
  • Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
  • Process invoices, credit notes, and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records for audit purposes.
  • Assist with data entry into accounting systems and ensure accuracy of financial information.
  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding billing and payment queries.
  • Register sales and ensure all related financial documentation is completed and recorded.
  • Monitor petty cash and ensure proper reconciliation.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as required.
  • Ensuring a tidy office is maintained.
Candidate Skills & Experience
  • Part Qualified Accountant to Accounting Technician or experienced working in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ambition and keen. 
  • Organised approach to work. 
  • Friendly nature and gets on well with people. 
  • Unafraid of a challenge.
