Accountant - Remote

ProSource are currently working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice that is looking to hire a Practice Accountant on a semi-remote / hybrid basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant coming from practice who wants flexibility, strong client exposure, and clear progression.

The Role You will manage your own portfolio of SME clients and be involved across accounts preparation, tax compliance and client advisory. The firm offers a collaborative environment with direct access to partners and flexibility around working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Drafting financial statements under FRS 102 / FRS 105
• Preparation and filing of VAT returns
• Preparation of corporation tax (CT1) and income tax (Form 11) returns
• Managing and developing client relationships
• Acting as first point of contact for client queries
• Reviewing bookkeeping records and advising on best practice
• Working with cloud accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.)
• Supporting and reviewing junior staff where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate

• 2+ years’ experience in an Irish accountancy practice
• Strong SME accounts preparation experience
• Exposure to Irish tax compliance (VAT, CT, Income Tax)
• ACCA / ACA / CPA part-qualified or qualified (preferred, not essential)
• Comfortable working in a hybrid / semi-remote environment
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
