Accountant - Kilkenny (Hybrid/Flexible)

My client is a long established and respected Accountancy Practice with a strong client base. They are a progressive, technology-led firm that values flexibility, autonomy, and long-term relationships with both our clients and our team.

The Role:
My client is currently seeking a Qualified Accountant or part Qualified with solid experience in accounts preparation and tax compliance to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role with broad exposure across a unique and dynamic client base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Preparation and filing of income tax, corporation tax, and VAT returns
• Managing a portfolio of clients in the bloodstock and rural enterprise sectors
• Liaising directly with clients, Revenue, and external advisors as needed
• Supporting more junior team members where appropriate
• Ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA) with at least 2 years’ Irish practice experience. 
• Strong accounts prep and tax experience essential
• Comfortable working independently in a hybrid or remote-first setup
• Experience with agri-business or high-net-worth clients a plus (not essential)
• Proficient in Sage (Accounts Production and Line 50), Xero, and Excel
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage client relationships
