Our client is seeking a qualified JV Accountant to take full ownership of the end-to-end financial reporting process for designated Joint Venture (JV) entities. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives on responsibility, accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality management and statutory reporting, uphold strong internal controls, and provide meaningful financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. Acting as the primary finance contact for your JV entities, you will develop strong relationships across stakeholders and play a key role in driving JV objectives.
Key Responsibilities - Manage the full monthly reporting cycle for assigned JV entities, including management accounts, project cost reports, and variance analysis, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to shareholders and boards.
- Uphold compliance with internal controls and service-level agreements (SLAs) across banking, procurement, and approval processes.
- Prepare statutory reporting schedules and audit documentation; liaise with auditors and ensure adherence to tax and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, working closely with project and finance teams to meet timelines and financial targets.
- Serve as the primary finance point of contact for JV stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and information flow between JV partners, internal departments, and support services.
- Provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support informed decision-making for project teams and JV leadership.
- Monitor and maintain financial control systems, highlighting risks, issues, or opportunities for improvement to senior finance and governance leads.
- Support a safe working environment by adhering to all health, safety, and welfare policies.
- Actively participate in the performance management process to support delivery of both personal and team objectives.
Candidate Profile Qualifications & Skills: - Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong experience in general ledger activities, month-end processes, and financial reporting.
- Process-driven, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and standardisation.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Power BI, Power Query and Oracle.
- Experience within renewable energy or infrastructure projects is an advantage but not essential.
