Accountant - Athlone

ProSource are delighted to be working with a pragmatic Accountancy practice in Athlone seeking applications for Qualified Accountant to join their growing team.  

The ideal Candidate will be fully qualified accountant (or partial) with 2 years experience in a practice setting.

The firm are progressive and utilise cloud accounting software for full automation and efficiency.

Responsibilities :

1. Preparation/Checking of Financial Statements.
2. Providing training and support to junior staff, mentoring and delegating tasks.
3. Relationship Management: Managing a Portfolio of Clients and attending to their needs.
4. Auditing (if applicable).
5. Revenue reporting.
6. Engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Assistant clients with budgeting and forecasting needs.
8. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax laws/ regulatory requirements.
9. Business Advisory Support / Tax planning.
10. Adhoc requests as and when required.

Work Experience:

1. Experience in a practice environment within a small-medium practice in Ireland (unless Graduate - must be from an Accounting/Business background).
2. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
3. Proficient in Accountancy policies and practice requirements.
4. Team player, with ability to work on own initiative. 
5. Excellent numeracy skills with a high level of attention to detail.
6. Proficient in the use of Excel, Word and Outlook.
7. Cloud Accounting software knowledge.
