Accountancy Practice Manager - Dublin City Centre

Our client is a well-established and growing accountancy practice seeking to appoint an experienced Practice Manager to play a pivotal role in the continued growth and success of the firm.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated practice professional looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will work closely with the Partners, taking ownership of the day-to-day management of the practice while continuing to oversee a portfolio of audit and non-audit clients.

The position offers significant scope for career progression, with the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day management and operations of the practice.
  • Manage workflow across the firm, ensuring work is completed efficiently and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and support to members of the team.
  • Act as the first point of contact for staff queries and operational matters.
  • Review accounts, audit files and tax compliance work prepared by junior and senior staff.
  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements for a broad portfolio of SME clients.
  • Lead and complete audit assignments from planning through to completion.
  • Manage a portfolio of audit and non-audit clients, ensuring exceptional levels of client service.
  • Prepare the firm's own practice accounts and monthly management accounts.
  • Complete VAT returns and other regulatory filings for the practice.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies and internal controls.
  • Work closely with the Partners to support strategic growth initiatives and operational improvements.
About You:
  • ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Significant experience working within an Irish accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge across accounts preparation, audit and general compliance.
  • Previous experience reviewing files and managing staff.
  • A comprehensive understanding of how a small to medium-sized accountancy practice operates.
  • Excellent organisational and workflow management skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • A proactive approach with a genuine desire to contribute to the firm's continued growth.
