Transport Engineer/Planner

)ProSource Group are seeking a Transport Engineer/Planner on behalf of a leading Engineering Consultancy. There are roles available in Dublin and Munster. 

This position offers a significant opportunity to advance your career at one of Ireland's top consultancies. You will collaborate with various engineering disciplines, including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Sustainability, and Environmental engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive transport plans and policies.
• Traffic Analysis: Conduct detailed traffic and transport assessments, modelling, and simulations.
• Infrastructure Design: Design and optimise transport infrastructure projects, including roads, cycle paths, and public transport systems.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, government agencies, and the public to gather requirements and present findings.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transport projects comply with relevant local, national, and EU regulations.
• Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Background:
  • Honours Degree in engineering 
• Certifications:
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered Engineer) is desirable.
• Experience:
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in transport engineering or planning.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in transport modelling software (e.g., Junctions 9/10 and TRANSYT/LINSIG)
  • Strong knowledge of GIS and CAD tools.
• Knowledge:
  • In-depth understanding of transport policies, sustainable transport solutions, and urban planning principles.
• Personal Attributes:
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong project management capabilities and attention to detail.
